The $4.9M, three-year IGNITE project is one of the successful initiatives in the latest Genome Canada Large Scale Genomics Research Competition. The IGNITE project aligns with the creation of several international policies regarding the development of therapeutics for orphan diseases. Orphan diseases are rare disorders that affect less than one in 2000 people in Canada or less than 200,000 individuals in the United States. We are proud to be a part of this project.
